Today, I installed this misting system around the area where I keep my outdoor rabbits: “Orbit 30060 Arizona Outdoor Misting System Basic 3/8-Inch Cooling Set.” I also used an “Extension Set,” and still need to cover a little more area, so have ordered another, “Extension Set”.

I’m not real handy with tools, but this was pretty simple to put up. Screw the Extension onto the end of the basic set, then screw each of the little mister nozzles into the receptacles. Then mount the flexible tubing by nailing the little hooks into place. Screw the end into your water faucet or hydrant, turn it on, and a very fine cooling mist is produced.

I am also going to place a soaker hose on the roof; I’ve seen those used very effectively in the South. Of course, I’m keeping the show string rabbits which are in full show coats inside, in air conditioning set to about 68 degrees F.
