Birthday of Alex kits
Alex's kits by Fringe. There seems to be a variety of colors here, but they are so pink today that I will need to wait for some fur to grown in before I can guess what colors they are. -

It looks like there is 1 chocolate, several blue torts, and a couple of fawns. -

3 Days Old
Looks like 1 chocolate, maybe a couple of lilac or chocolate torts, some blue torts, and some black torts. -
4 Days Old
They are so tiny. With 8 of them competing for their mother's milk, none of them are getting over-filled. They are growing though. -
5 Days Old
They grew a lot since the previous day, and no longer look pathetic. -
6 Days Old
Filling out well. -

Today's picture of the Alex litter. 1 chocolate 3 chocolate torts 2 black torts 2 blue torts Because half the litter is chocolate, I wonder if Fringe the sire, is a chocolate tort rabbit under the REW. Alex is black. There are minor variations between the color expression of the individuals too. The one blue tort is really creamy looking whereas the other is more beige. They are fairly uniform and growing well, although they are not fat like Thriller's litter was at the same age. -

A couple of them are beginning to open their eyes. So far, it looks as if there is only one doe in this litter. -

Eyes are opening. -
13 Days Old
I can now see that there are both multiple does and bucks in the litter. -
14 Days Old
Their first day back in the rabbitry with mama Alex. -
17 Days Old
They are really lively, so it is easier to get a good picture of them when they are napping. -

This little black buck has the same dam, Alex, as others in this album, but a different sire, 7 Pine's Bingo. He was kindled this spring. I am very happy with the type he is showing so far. He is short bodied, with a deep rise that comes right up out of his shoulders, and arcs nicely over the topline. He is showing lots of promise in wool density. -

Moirai E. Marley
Moirai Elaine Marley, chocolate tort, was first place in junior colored doe class, June 8, 2013, Sunflower Rabbit Breeders, Wichita, KS. 3 1/2 months old -- she was also BOSV and her chocolate tort littermate, Threepwood, was BOV. One judge said she looked like, "a miniature senior doe." Another judge said she "has a kick ass body." (Yeah, that is what he said, lol.) -

Elaine Marley, sheared
Moirai Elaine Marley was 7th place of 17 colored senior English Angora does at the 2014 ARBA convention. Here she is back home, with her show coat sheared off, revealing that body deemed by one judge to be "kick ass." 🙂
